Fern Bridge Farm
Shetland Sheep, Heritage Wool & Botanical Goods
"Rooted in Vermont's Champlain Valley, Fern Bridge Farm raises Shetland sheep for exceptional wool while cultivating a slower way of life inspired by traditional shepherding, natural products, and herbal traditions."
Heritage Shetland Wool, Botanical Color & Life on a Vermont Farm
Fern Bridge Farm is a small shepherding and fiber farm in Bridport, Vermont, where a flock of heritage Shetland sheep is raised with care and respect for the land. Inspired by traditional shepherding and the natural beauty of the Champlain Valley, we create yarns, fiber goods, and educational experiences that connect people to the timeless craft of wool.
Our wool is processed at Vermont mills and dyed on the farm using low-impact dyes, botanical extracts, and plants grown in our gardens. From fleece to finished yarn, every step reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and the enduring beauty of natural fibers.

Listed as "Recovering" on The Livestock Conservancy's list of Heritage Breed Sheep, these small sheep have so much to offer. Their wool is versatile and can be used for everything from fine lace to wool rugs and everything in between. Please join me on my journey as I establish my first flock of sheep at Fern Bridge Farm!
